Dr Edward C Kim

Dr. Kim graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Science with High Distinction in two years.  He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.  He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Medical College of Virginia and his Gastroenterology fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.  He spent an additional year researching pancreatic cancer and then served as an Assistant Professor and Attending in the Gastroenterology department at the State University of New York at Buffalo for five years.  During that time, Dr. Kim published a review article as well as pursued research interests in colorectal polyps and cancer.  He has been practicing Gastroenterology and Hepatology 21 years, and he has a special interest in therapeutic endoscopy.  He has successfully recertified for his specialty board.  He is married with two young children and lives in Gainesville.  Interests include golf, mogul skiing and travel.  He has been perennially named a Top Doctor in Washingtonian magazine.
